Après une belle première édition intitulée Environnements dans le cadre idyllique du Jardin d’Alice à Paris, Purepresence annonce la seconde édition du festival d’art et de son Parisonic.

Juin 2011, Parisonic Hear & Now présente les œuvres de vingt-cinq artistes français et australiens, au centre d’une réflexion sur la relation entre le lieu et le son.

Commissaire de l’exposition Magnetic Traces à Melbourne, Philip Samartzis réunit, en une diffusion multiphonique, des œuvres sonores inédites liées en particulier aux lieux ouverts. Eric La Casa et Philippe F. Roux invitent des artistes dont les propositions plastiques sonores et visuelles engagent le lieu, en particulier l’espace d’exposition. Les artistes invités sont présentés en février 2011.

The artists of Hearing Ghosts exhibition plus Jean-Philippe Renoult will present sound art works during the exhibitions Indisciplines, proposed by Le Dojo gallery in Nice.Sunshine Frère, Brandon LaBelle, Luc Kerléo, Jenny Pickett, Julien Ottavi, Yvan Etienne, Jean-Baptiste Thiebaut, Andy Wheddon, Dinahbird, Brice Jeannin, Jean-Philippe F. Roux and Jean-Philippe Renoult will present their works as a continuous diffusion.An interface has been realized by CS3 to give the visitors the choice of the work to project and informations on the artists.

SOUND DELTAJune and july, Mons (Be), Lille (Fr), Giurgiu (Ro), Rousse (Bu).The collective MU proposes Sound Delta across Europe. From July to september two boat will navigate along the Rhin and Danube rivers. Invited artists will produce many kind of sound forms, online radio broadcasts (…) during the trip.The collective MU invites Apo33 and CS3 to create installations as new extensions, or reactivations, of the “Poulpe” initiated by Apo33.Those local installations will work with the context of their presentation.Every work of art depends on its presentation context, which appears most of the time as exhibitions. Those exhibitions need a certain type of visual communication, they uses the grey floor and white walls as (pseudo-neutral) signs telling us we are in an exhibition context (…).Here, the work will use its present context as a part of its own reality : as an image of a place, the sound reality will be collected and treated regarding to the human activity, the architectural environment, the climate…Those works will investigate the idea of immaterial sculptures, we could say mental shapes…Connected through the internet the sound flows will realize a sound shape, a sculpture existing through different places and visible only partially from one local point.In each city, our bodies will be in touch with one “sculpture”, one sound shape and our mind will construct the immaterial sound sculpture made by them alltogether.Further informations : http://www.mu.asso.fr

Ok, we hace already started this year while I am writing those lines…On february 9, we had the pleasure to receive Samon Takahashi for a Purepresence meeting at Point ephémère who hosts us. The meeting was interesting and pleasant, we are glad to our numerous visitors. Samon had good returns, Purepresence too. Thanks.For the continuation of our work in a new place, we hope to propose many meetings this year, depending on our personnal works and exhibitions, and, of course depending on the money we do not have ;-).To be informed on who will be our next invited artists, we invite you to visit regularily our website and to subscribe our newsletter…In april we will propose another public form to show how artists work actually with sounds…We also look for partners to create a special book collection on something-like-art-and-sound-practices-and-thoughts…Purepresence team

Purepresence sera présent sur le SALON LIGHT #4 les 3 et 4 novembre 2007Nous avons le plaisir d’inviter PHILIP GRIFFITH pour une carte blanche sonore le samedi à 19h. Ensuite Panic City Boyz (Eric Daviron et Olivier Forest) nous livreront ses collages sonores…Le Salon Light est le rdv annuel proposé par le Centre National de l’Estampe et de l’Art Imprimé réunissant la scène internationale des éditeurs d’artistes. Sur invitation sélective, 50 éditeurs présentent et vendent leurs productions : livres, CD, DVD, vinyles, revues, inserts… souvent collectors.
